For my Journalism Residency, I worked as the Editorial & Art Intern for SagaCity Media, a publishing company in Seattle, Washington. As the intern, I worked for multiple print and online publications centered around travel & tourism, such as Seattle’s Official Visitor’s Guide, Washington State Wine Guide, and more. My editorial duties included fact-checking, editing, and writing pieces about the best food and fun around Seattle, while my artistic duties involved designing magazine pages, and photo-sourcing and editing. This internship took me across Washington State, whether I was sipping local glasses in wine country or trying freshly caught seafood on the coast.
