After completing a course in Ecosystem Restoration Design, I wondered how to use my storytelling skills to directly heal our environments. After connecting with Dine communities in the Southwest who face water scarcity due to decades of aquifer-draining coal extraction, I began writing grants for matriarch-led grassroots organizations in collaboration with local fiscal sponsors in 2023.

Since then, I have won over $163k in grants for direct environmental restoration efforts to implement projects like rangeland stewardship plans and free permaculture & erosion control workshops. These events welcomed volunteers from across the country and paid local Dine experts and youth to implement stone structures that minimize erosion and slow the flow of water. The ultimate goal is to replenish the historic seeps and springs that once fed the homes and sheep herds of Dine families while supporting the holistic wellbeing of local communities. It is an honor to collaborate and weave new realities with powerful matriarchs who are actively healing historical trauma and the watershed through the revival of Dine Natural Law.

I am seeking more opportunities to win resources for Indigenous-led organizations implementing environmental restoration around the world. Whether you want to plant coral and kelp, restore mangroves, or revive local food systems, I will conduct interviews, write grants, identify experts and fiscal sponsors, design budgets, maintain funder relations, organize logistics, document project implementation, and assist leaders in an efficient, compassionate, and detailed manner.

I am also a co-founder of land restoration collective Proyecto Regeneremos in Chile and a co-founder of environmental education organization Future Ancestors in the Midwest United States.

Fluent in English and Spanish, I am open to working with organizations in both languages, and would love to create more international funding access for Spanish-speaking organizations.
