MISHOPSHNO
SHORT FILM COMING SOON
Off the coast of California, fishermen, scientists, and Indigenous leaders fight for a resilient future… but remain divided over the same waters. As marine biodiversity and ecosystems collapse, one question rises to the surface: Who gets access to the ocean?
MISHOPSHNO follows the initiative to create one of California’s first tribally co-managed marine protected areas, a proposal that could redefine conservation itself.
This summer, the California Fish and Game Commission will decide the future of Mishopshno SMCA.
Let your voice be heard & take action.
The Experiment in International Living in Tanzania
What is it like to live in a fishing village on the Tanzanian shore? What happened to exiled Black Panthers who fled to other countries in the 1960’s? What is the history of the of Maasai and National Parks conservation?
In five weeks of The Experiment in International Living in Tanzania, 12 American high school students embark on a cultural immersion program, learning about the lived realities and people of Tanzania.
As Digital Media Fellow, I documented students’ experiences, filming and editing videos that generated 300k+ views on YouTube.
